Lighting Designer
Hello! I am August, a queer, trans lighting designer and theatre educator based out of Chicago. I graduated from Wittenberg University in 2022 with a B.A. in theatre, focusing in design. I firmly believe that connection to one’s own community stems from art and that helping others tell their stories is vital to expanding every person’s world, no matter of age, race, gender, or lived experience. I explore that connection through visual storytelling with lighting, playing with color and texture to illustrate the connections we hold dear, and those we don't.
